This past Saturday, I stayed at the house of a friend!
Since money is tight right now, staying at a friend’s house for the weekend was a great frugal way to have a fun time while just spending money for the gas to drive over and stay the night!
I got to my friend’s house a little bit latter than I wanted (6:00pm on Saturday), but we squeezed a lot of activities during that time frame! Below outlines the things I did at my friend’s house:
- Watched the Halloween-ish movie “The Nightmare Before Christmas“. This is a personal favorite of mine out of all the Halloween movies out there! The stop-motion filming is truly an awesome effect, and while it might be pushing it for very little kids, it’s perfect for me! I even enjoy most of the songs in the movie (especially “What’s this”). Of course popcorn and pop was part of the experiences. This was a great time as always!
- Next we ran around like crazy people. Silly games that involving a lot of moving and the like.
- XBox games. Too many to mention, but this is a great way to spend the evening. Although I like games, I’m more into minecraft at this point in my life.
- Talked until early morning hours. I haven’t seen this particular friend in a long time, so it was good to catch up in what is going on around the area!
So while this wasn’t a high impact entertainment sort of activity (except maybe for XBox 360), it was still very enjoyable, and a lot of value for the time spent!
